Nathalie de Montmollin’s vocal artistry displays through exceptional beauty and technical brilliance. Her performances as a lyric soprano offer an especially impressive display of her operatic talents. She is loved by critics and audiences alike.

Nathalie Montmollin’s first professional engagement led her to the Städtische Bühnen Münster, where she received much acclaim for her debuts as Fiordiligi “Cosí fan tutte” and Konstanze “Die Entführung aus dem Serail”. She went on to be an ensemble member of the Landesbühnen Sachsen and Mainfrankentheater Würzburg, and sang as a guest at Staatstheater Braunschweig, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater and Theater für Niedersachsen, among others. Highlights include Euridice in Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice”, Agathe in Weber’s “Der Freischütz”, the First Lady in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”, Micaëla in Bizet’s “Carmen”, Cleopatra in Händel’s “Giulio Cesare”, and the title role in Kálmán’s “Gräfin Mariza”.

Montmollin performs regularly in recitals and concerts throughout Germany, France and Switzerland. Her concert repertoire spans the spectrum from early to modern music, (e.g. Bach, Händel, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Verdi, Elgar, Debussy, Stockhausen). She has performed in the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin, the Kölner and Berliner-Philharmonie, the Hamburger Laeiszhalle and the Auditorium Stravinski in Montreux with renowned orchestras such as the Hamburger, Berliner, Göttinger and Bochumer Symphonies, as well as the Lübeck Philharmonic, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.

Swiss soprano Nathalie de Montmollin studied with Erika Bill Geiger at the Lausanne Conservatory of Music where she earned her degree in vocal pedagogy. Subsequently, she was a member of the opera studio in Biel which was followed by an engagement at the Atelier Lyrique at the Opéra Lyon. Her studies culminated with a degree in vocal performance from the Berlin Academy of the Arts with Prof. Ingrid Figur.

She was awarded the Young Artist Prize of The Music and Theater Friends Soceity in Münster, and was one of the prize winners of the prestigious Hanns Eisler Award for Composition and Interpretation of Contemporary Music.
